Writing What I Want Them To Remember

Writing What I Want Them To Remember

I’ve been trying to get this right for a long time, and I’m not saying that I finally have, but things are getting a little more manageable every day.

🎙️Please allow me to, Clareifi…

My go-to procrastination routine usually involves obsessing over tech stacks, writing platforms and going back and forth on where and how to publish. Honing in on a niche, figuring out what I want to say and who I intend to say it to. Overthinking and procrastinating instead of sitting down to write.

But not lately. Nope, lately I’ve been able to find inspiration for stories in different ways. A picture I took while on a forest walk with my family. A thought that pops into my head while I’m out walking my dog. Come to think of it, most of the ideas I’ve had lately come from walking.

Walking and thinking… 💭

I’ve been trying to write everything down. Taking notes or dictating ideas as they come to me using the Drafts App on my phone.

I just want to keep telling stories.

I write to honor my Dad’s forgotten memories and to remind myself to do all the things I want to do while making lasting memories with my children.

And if I start to forget…

I’m writing what I want them to remember.

The rest will be up to them.
